WACFA is seeking expression of interest for the position of Development Officer (DO) for the 2018 season.

The role of the DO is to promote the growth and development of football within the context of WACFA and in accordance with its vision, values, mission and Strategic Plan.

Provide support, encouragement and advice for existing clubs with a view to strengthening their ongoing viability and enhance participant satisfaction.

Assist clubs improve the quality of their administration, processes, football coaching and community engagement.

Provide information to the Management Committee to enable assessment of the effectiveness of activities and programs.

Attend Management Committee Meetings, Information Meetings and other meetings from time to time as requested by WACFA.

Relate to relevant external bodies (e.g. councils, governments, sponsors, football associations and governing bodies) to ensure the growth and development (quality and quantity) of all aspects of WACFA and member club operations including facilities, funding and expertise.

The prospective candidate must be able to demonstrate that he or she is:

A Committed Christian with established pattern of attendance at a mainstream Christian church
Eligible for a Current Working with Children card
Hold a Current WA driver’s licence
Demonstrated long-term involvement in football as a player, coach, volunteer or official
Willingness to undertake ongoing professional development in the area of coaching, sports promotion or other relevant discipline
Desirable but not essential to have experience in business, education and/or not-for-profit sector
The position is a paid part time role with flexible working hours equivalent to one day per week.
